Jonnieka Farr is a dedicated public servant who believes that community engagement is key in strengthening Columbia, SC and surrounding areas. Jonnieka's passion for the Midlands extends to her role as former Chair of the Richland Democratic Women's Council and Board Member of the Richland County Community Relations Council. Jonnieka is also an alumnus of Emerge South Carolina, a training program dedicated to electing more Democratic women.

Since choosing Columbia as a home for her family, Jonnieka has worked diligently to ensure issues and concerns within Columbia are addressed through collaborative efforts with community advocacy groups. Jonnieka strives to bring about meaningful solutions and find answers to the issues that face  the people of District 79.

Jonnieka is the proud mother of two and a business analyst for the State of South Carolina.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and playing with her dog Roxie.
